These Banana Chocolate Orange Pancakes totally happened by accident. I’ve been wanting to put some more pancakes recipes up on the blog for a while, but I’ve just been really busy with other things – school baking, appointments and everything else that can keep you from doing what’s on the dreaded to-do list. I started out my morning with really good intentions of making three different recipes, but as most busy mornings can be, things just didn’t turn out that way. As I was mixing up three different batters my front door opened and in came running, three of my seven grandchildren – surprise Grammie! After a few minutes of talking about their week at school they noticed I had the griddle out for pancakes. This is when the fun began!
After much deliberation between the three grandchildren they decided on what kind of pancakes “we” were going to make, and this is when our Banana Chocolate Orange Pancakes were created! Each one of them picked out the ingredient that they wanted to add to the mix – Mason picked chocolate, Ethan picked orange and my Patience, she picked banana, and all these ingredients were mixed together. Now you may think this is a weird combination for pancakes, I know I was a little skeptical about it myself, but let me tell you something – these are totally delicious and I am really shocked! They were some of the best pancakes I’ve tasted. I am very proud of my creators and thought It would be a great idea to add this delicious recipe for Banana Chocolate Orange Pancakes to my blog. Compliments of Mason, Ethan and Patience – my wonderfully creative grandchildren.
