These tasty little No Bake Cookie Bake cookies with their chocolate goodness happened by pure accident! I should tell you now – I am the “I can’t do No Bake cookies” queen. I have no idea what I keep doing wrong. This time while trying to make them, I turned them into no bake cookie bake cookies and hit the jackpot. Out of all the things I can bake and cook, no bake cookies are not one of them. My husband and grandchildren really love the mistake I made, they say these No Bake Cookie Bake cookies were one of my best creations, and that I should make more. I just laughed at all of them, as I pass them another

I’ve tried several times since making these No Bake Cookie Bake cookies and to no avail, I can’t seem to get the “no bake” right, I guess I’m just an oven girl at heart. I took the no bake out of no bakes and baked them. What an amazing recipe I’m came up with.  That’s right, I can admit it, I can’t make no bake cookies to save my life, or should I say my “no bake” life!

No Bake Cookie Bake

This recipe was created from a no bake cookie fail – instead of wasting the unset cookies, I decided to add some ingredients and make these wonderful No Bake Cookie Bake cookies. This was one fail that was a success!

  • ¾ cup – Cacao Powder*
  • 2 cups – Sugar
  • 1 stick – Butter
  • ½ cup – Milk
  • 1 tsp – Pure Vanilla
  • 4 cups – Gluten-Free Oats**
  • ½ cup – Peanut Butter
  • ½ cup - Milk
  • 1 cup – Gluten-Free Flour
  • 1 tsp – Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp – Baking Powder
  • 1 – Egg – beaten
  • ¼ cup - Slice Almonds – to spread on top before baking

  1. Combine – cacao powder, sugar, ½ cup milk, and butter in small sauce pan. Heat on medium heat, and bring to a boil. Remove from heat.
  2. Stir in peanut butter, and stir in oats, ½ cup milk, egg, flour baking soda, baking powder, and beaten egg. Once combined spread in greased cookies sheet pan, and sprinkle top with sliced almonds, and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes, or until toothpick inserted come out clean. Remove from oven and cook before cutting into squares.

*I use Raw Organic Caribbean Cacao Powder, which can be purchased on Amazon. **Be sure to read all ingredients on the oats package. The may be manufactured in a facility that makes wheat and other gluten's.

    • I agree Trisha! There is nothing like a warm cookie out of the oven. Maybe that’s why I keep failing at these no bakes. 🙂

  1. I was wondering how could the cookies be no bake even though they are baked. Love when mistakes turn into our best creations!

  2. Great job Tina ! I love those stories of trial and error that end up turning into a true gem. Come to think of it some of my favorite recipes came to life from a total failure or cleaning up the pantry. Brilliant 1

    • It’s a No Bake Cookie Bake – it takes just extra minutes to add the additional ingredients and throw them in the oven. These little treats are a great addition to the snack jar.

    • Thanks Sarah! You will have to send me your no fail recipe, and maybe I can actually make them right, but these “fail no bakes” turn out wonderful.
