ekSel Toaster Bags are a great addition to my gluten-free living. Being the only member in my household that’s gluten-free, sometimes it’s difficult for family members to understand that sharing the same utensils, or equipment, such as a toaster, or microwave without cleaning it first, can wreak havoc on my system. Now I can enjoy a slice of toast without all the worry of eating things I shouldn’t. It’s those little things that matter, and the only one that it affects is the person that’s gluten-free.

If you’re a toast lover like I am, you have to worry about cross contaminating your gluten-free bread in the toaster that everyone else in the family uses. That is, unless you have two separate toasters, and not all households have that nor do they have the room for more than one of every appliance. That’s where these handy toaster bags come into play!

I-Get-to-Have-My-Toast-and-Eat-it-Too!

I really love to use these bags in the toaster, and in the microwave to reheat up gluten-free rolls, it’s the simplest and easiest way to help prevent cross contamination with bread crumbs. Just pop your bread into the sleeve and drop in your toaster and heat on medium until your bread is toasty brown. Add butter and your favorite jelly and enjoy without worry. Oh, by the way, no need for a wide slot toaster, mine’s a standard size, and I’ve had no problems.

The package of ekSel Toaster Bags also comes with a few great ideas for making sandwiches in your toaster! One of my favorites was to add a slice of cheese (I love provolone) in between two slices of bread, put it into the sleeve and toast on medium, until the bread is a nice golden brown. You can have a wonderful grilled cheese without all the added fat of butter or oil, and you don’t have to use a different toaster, or pan that was used for regular bread. The best part is, these wonderful little things are reusable, just wash in hot soapy water, rinse well, and let them dry! It can’t get any easier than that! You even get a free eBook that has some wonderful little recipes for using your new toaster bags.

From my kitchen to yours,

Tina Marie

  1. Wow.

I don’t have an issue at home – he uses the pop up, I use the dedicated countertop toaster oven, which I also bake with (and we don’t have kids who forget…) But I can see that solving so many problems traveling, visiting, or even using a toaster at work!

    • These are the handiest things for traveling! I took them recently on a trip to Florida, and used them at my Dad’s house. I have to say, they were the greatest things to have on hand.
